Government legislation ensures that the rights of both tenants and landlords are protected by law. Most property purchased in Australia is Freehold Title, meaning that it is owned by the Investor.

Purchasing Guidelines

The Australian Government through the Foreign Investment Review Board (FIRB) regulates the sale of Australian property to overseas persons and corporations. Most of SECFI's properties qualify for purchase by overseas investors.
" Foreign Nationals can purchase:"
New Property Residential projects or apartments - up to 50% of the total project can be purchased by foreign nationals. Vacant land - provided construction begins within twelve months of purchase. Established property - provided an additional amount of no less than 50% of the original property cost is spent on an additional construction (consent of FIRB is required).
